Last week CNN put up a poll regarding open bars at weddings. 37,000 people responded (myself included) and below are the results. My personal opinion is that you should provide something for free whether that is beer, wine or champagne. Your wedding party undoubtedly dropped a lot of money for this day, people are traveling to see you, and not to mention wedding gifts. As soon as the booze stops flowing, people leave. It depends on how much of a party you want.

- A full, open bar is a must, but I understand if that's too pricey. Cash bar is fine. 23%
- I get annoyed if there isn't a full, open bar. No excuse for that. 15%
